BMW Group Korea (CEO Han Sang-yoon) will conduct a "BMW·MINI Electric Vehicle Free Safety Inspection Campaign" for all pure electric BMW and MINI vehicles operating in Korea from July 1 to December 31.

This free electric vehicle safety inspection campaign is a program designed to ensure that customers of BMW and MINI pure electric vehicles can drive with peace of mind. It was established to proactively inspect key components and prevent electric vehicle fires and safety accidents in advance.

In particular, the campaign applies to all approximately 35,000 BMW and MINI pure electric vehicles sold in Korea to date, regardless of the vehicle's delivery date. Customers wishing to have an inspection can schedule an appointment via the My BMW or MINI app or at any official BMW and MINI service center nationwide, and receive the free safety inspection service after bringing in their vehicle.

Electric vehicles brought in during the campaign period will undergo focused inspections of core components, including the high-voltage battery and related parts, high-voltage cables, and the vehicle's cooling system including coolant. Basic checks on tire condition and air pressure will also be performed.

Meanwhile, BMW Group Korea is focusing its capabilities on infrastructure investments to lead the overall growth of the domestic electric vehicle ecosystem, beyond just selling electrified models. As a result of taking the lead in building charging and maintenance infrastructure, the company had installed a cumulative total of 3,030 electric vehicle chargers nationwide as of December 2025, the largest number among imported car brands in Korea. The company plans to secure a total of 4,000 charging infrastructure units by the end of the year.
