The Italian brand calls the show car the heir to the Fiat 600 Multipla compact van, which was produced from 1956 to 1967.
The Stellantis-owned brand Fiat unveiled the revived Topolino (Italian for "little mouse") in late spring 2023. Its "historical ancestor" – the Fiat 500 Topolino – was produced in Turin from 1936 to 1955, while the current "little one," a technical twin of the Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks-e (both brands also owned by Stellantis), rolls off the assembly line at the automaker's plant in Morocco.

Now Fiat has prepared a sporty special edition for its electric quadricycle with an adorable design. As noted in the company's press service, the Topolino Sport Special Edition is aimed at a young audience, with the developers drawing inspiration from the Nuova 500 Sport, produced in the last century – from 1958 to 1960. Nevertheless, the creators were interested in the "sporty spirit" of this car.

The list of differences between the new special edition and the standard current Fiat Topolino includes four new color options for the body paint – white, blue, black, and yellow. All of them feature contrasting stripes running below the windshield – red (for white and black "backgrounds"), white (for the blue body), and black (for the yellow), executed in a sporty style.

Additionally, the "sportified" Topolino version comes with matte-black wheel rims with silver edging, black exterior mirror housings, frames of the same color around the round headlights (for all versions except the white body variant, which retains light-silver ones), as well as badges with the special edition name on the front fenders.

For the interior of the Fiat Topolino Sport Special Edition, black seats and a changed material for the Dolcevita Box trim are provided, which is installed on the front panel using securing straps. A fan on a high stalk is still included, and the special edition also gets a new set of Monsterlino Bluetooth hi-fi stereo speakers.

As a reminder, the overall length of the Topolino is 2535 mm, width – 1400 mm, height – 1530 mm. The sport version's technology is obviously standard: the quadricycle is equipped with a single electric motor located on the front axle, with a power output of 8.2 hp. It also features a traction battery with a capacity of 5.5 kWh, and a range without recharging of up to 75 km (according to the WMTC cycle). The "little one's" maximum speed is limited to 45 km/h.

In Italy, the starting price of the Fiat Topolino Sport Special Edition currently stands at 10,550 euros, equivalent to approximately 930,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. For comparison, the base price of a standard Topolino is 7,450 euros (about 657,000 rubles).
Additionally, Fiat showcased a concept at a special event in Rome, named Multiplina. The company calls it the heir to the Fiat 600 Multipla, which was produced from 1956 to 1967. It is assumed that such a compact van would be the missing link between the Topolino quadricycle and a full-fledged "passenger car."

The Fiat Multiplina concept features a monocoque body, complex-shaped headlights, "retro" wheel rims, large side doors – for passenger access to the second row of seats in the four-seat cabin, plastic wheel arch covers, and a fabric roof. The show car's technology is likely the same as that of the "little mouse."
