Kia EV6 Long-Term Report: The EV Benchmark After Three Months in Singapore

SH ShiokDrive Staff 30 Jun 2026

Three months and 4,000 kilometres with the Kia EV6 have fundamentally reshaped our expectations of what an electric crossover can deliver. Built on Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated E-GMP 800V platform, the EV6 combines striking design with genuine everyday usability.

The standout feature is charging speed. The 800V architecture enables 10-80% charging in just 18 minutes at a 350kW charger — faster than any competitor at this price point. In real-world Singapore driving, the 77.4kWh battery consistently delivers over 450km of range, more than sufficient for a week's commuting.

Behind the wheel, the EV6 is genuinely enjoyable. The rear-wheel-drive single-motor variant (229bhp, 350Nm) offers brisk performance, while the dual-motor GT-Line (325bhp, 605Nm) is genuinely rapid. Ride quality on Singapore roads is excellent, and the spacious interior — with its flat floor and generous legroom — easily accommodates five adults.
