The first right-hand-drive units of the updated Tesla Model Y — codenamed "Juniper" — have reached Singapore, bringing significant improvements to the world's best-selling electric vehicle. The mid-cycle refresh introduces a revised exterior design, upgraded interior materials, and improved range and efficiency.
The most visible changes are at the front and rear, where slimmer LED light signatures and reprofiled bumpers give the Model Y a more sophisticated appearance. Inside, the cabin benefits from higher-quality materials, a redesigned centre console with wireless charging, and acoustic glass for reduced wind noise — addressing one of the most common owner complaints.
Range for the Long Range variant has been extended to 565km (WLTP), while the Performance model now delivers 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds. Prices start from S$194,000 with COE, representing a modest increase over the pre-facelift model. The first customer deliveries begin this month.
