The announced hybrid crossover will be offered in Russia in a single trim level – Tekhno. The price will be announced later.
Deepal, a sub-brand of the Chinese company Changan, officially entered the Russian market in 2026. The hybrid crossover Deepal S07 is now preparing for an imminent sales launch: the local office announced this new model last week and has now revealed more technical details and the equipment list for the SUV, whose exterior was designed at the company's European design center in Turin (Italy) under the direction of Bertrand Bach.
Recall that in its home market, the crossover is sold under the name Deepal S7 (as well as Shenlan S7), where it premiered in spring 2023. The model has already been introduced in Europe, though only with a fully electric powertrain. In Russia, the SUV, which will be sold under the export name Deepal S07, has already received its OТТС (Vehicle Type Approval).
It is based on the modular EPA1 platform. The Russian representative office of Changan confirmed that the overall length of the "local" Deepal S07 will be 4750 mm, width – 1930 mm, height – 1625 mm, and wheelbase – 2900 mm. The drag coefficient of this vehicle is 0.258, ground clearance is 165 mm, trunk volume is 445 liters, and with the rear seats folded down, cargo space can be increased to 1385 liters.
More details have now emerged about the "heart" of the Deepal S07 series-parallel hybrid. Its powertrain includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that is not mechanically connected to the wheels and serves only as a generator for the traction battery with a capacity of 31.73 kWh. The total system output is 238 hp, with a maximum torque of 320 Nm. Such a crossover takes 7.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
With fast charging, the Deepal S07's battery can be replenished from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes; fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 5.7 liters per 100 km. When driving solely on electric power, the range is 174 km, and the total driving range (with a full fuel tank and charged traction battery) is 992 km.
The Deepal S07 will be available on the Russian market in a single trim level – Tekhno. This crossover will feature two-tone 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with animation, frameless doors, flush door handles, a panoramic roof with an area of 1.9 sq. m with an "electric sunshade," double-layer front side windows, and a power tailgate with remote opening.
The interior of the upcoming SUV is trimmed in perforated eco-leather with contrast stitching. The front seats have power adjustments and a ventilation function. It also features ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a center armrest with cupholders for the second row, as well as individual reading lights and a climate control display for rear passengers.
On the dashboard, there is a 15.6-inch rotating Sunflower touchscreen display. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as gesture control. Instead of a traditional instrument cluster, an augmented reality head-up display is provided. Additionally, the model comes with a Sony audio system with 14 speakers and a 40W cooled wireless smartphone charging pad.
The Deepal S07 features: driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, a 3.3 kW V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) power export function, front and rear parking sensors, a rear cross-traffic assist with braking function, cruise control, a traffic jam assist, lane change assist, blind-spot monitoring, a 540° surround-view camera system, and a "winter package." The winter package includes heated windshield washer nozzles, heated exterior mirrors, heated seats and steering wheel, plus anti-corrosion body treatment.
The press service of the local Changan office stated that the warranty for the Deepal S7 is 5 years or 150,000 km, and for the traction battery – 8 years or 160,000 km. The sales launch date and price of the crossover in Russia will be announced later.
