A special "adventure" version of the crossover, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Corolla model, has received the Z Adventure suffix in its name.
Toyota introduced its global crossover, named the Corolla Cross, in 2020. It is based on the GA-C platform, which also underpins the Corolla sedan, wagon, and hatchback. The crossover has already undergone a facelift, a process that stretched over more than a year: in February 2024, the refreshed SUV was unveiled in Southeast Asia, then it reached Europe and the USA, in May 2025 – the domestic market, and in October last year – China, with its own specific features. Now, a new anniversary special edition has become available to the Japanese.
Toyota celebrates the 60th anniversary of its "parent" model, the Corolla, in early July 2026. The young Corolla Cross crossover was also invited to celebrate this event, receiving a special version with a long name suffix – Z Adventure 60th Anniversary. The changes only affected the exterior and interior design of the model.
Thus, the anniversary crossover received a massive radiator grille with a large honeycomb pattern and a wide upper bar with a black logo. This element resembles the radiator grille of the updated Toyota Corolla Cross with an internal combustion engine intended for the American market. Incidentally, the darkened emblem can be optionally replaced with a light lettering of the brand name.
Black plastic trims on the lower part of the front and rear bumpers, on the wheel arches, as well as side skirts for the special edition are available with a "textured" coating called Meteor Coat. The Toyota Corolla Cross Z Adventure 60th Anniversary crossover comes with 17-inch black matte aluminum alloy wheels and badges indicating its belonging to the anniversary series, located on the front fenders.
The interior of the special Toyota Corolla Cross variant has received virtually no changes. The seats are upholstered in mint and dark gray artificial leather with gray fabric inserts featuring dark stitching. The three-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons, part of the dashboard, and the gearshift lever are trimmed in leather.
The technical specifications of the Toyota Corolla Cross Z Adventure 60th Anniversary are standard. In Japan, the crossover has only one "filling": it is a HEV system based on the 1.8-liter naturally aspirated 2ZR-FXE engine, working in tandem with an electric motor and an electromechanical CVT. The total maximum system power is 140 hp. The model is equipped with the E-Four electric all-wheel-drive system and a Snow Extra driving mode.
The price of the anniversary special edition Toyota Corolla Cross on the domestic market is also known. For such an "adventure" hybrid crossover, they are asking at least 3,663,000 yen, which is equivalent to 1.77 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
