Pre-orders for the five-seat modification of the full-size SUV have already been announced in China, with live sales starting in a couple of weeks.
The Zeekr brand, part of the Chinese Geely holding company, appeared in 2021. Let us recall that initially the company planned to sell only electric vehicles under this brand, but later decided to add plug-in hybrids to the lineup. The flagship full-size crossover Zeekr 9X entered the Chinese market in the fall of 2025, but at that time the model was only offered with a three-row cabin. Now a new two-row modification is ready.
The original version of the Zeekr 9X had a 2+2+2 layout, with two captain's chairs in the second row and separate seats in the third. Meanwhile, the new variant has a conventional layout with driver and front passenger seats, as well as a three-seat rear bench. The dimensions of both modifications are identical: length is 5239 mm, width is 2029 mm, height is 1819 mm, and the wheelbase is 3169 mm.
The exterior of the six- and five-seat versions of the Zeekr 9X is identical: the same classic forms of a premium SUV, a huge radiator grille, unusual LED headlights, a "monolight" with two thin glowing strips, between which the brand name is inscribed in the center.
The five-seat Zeekr 9X is equipped with the Qianli Haohan driver assistance system, which includes 43 high-precision sensors, including a lidar integrated into the roof edge above the windshield. Inside the cabin, apart from the seats, there are essentially no changes. For instance, the front panel features a 13-inch oval virtual instrument cluster and a display combining two 16-inch screens of the Zeekr AI OS 7 infotainment system. Additionally, there is a 47-inch augmented reality projection screen.
The crossover comes with a Naim audio system with 32 speakers (four of which are installed in the ceiling, eight in the headrests). The seats are upholstered in genuine leather, wood inserts are used for decoration, and the ceiling is trimmed in suede. The width of the rear bench seat cushions exceeds 53 cm, and the second row features a massage function in various modes. The cabin also includes a 9-liter compartment that can maintain a set temperature ranging from -6℃ to +50℃.
The "filling" of the new crossover modification, based on the SEA-S platform with a 900-volt electrical architecture, is standard. As Kolesa.ru previously reported, the Zeekr 9X hybrid system can operate in both series and parallel modes. This means that the 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with 279 hp, installed under the hood at the front, can drive the front wheels through a single-speed gearbox, or it can operate as a generator for the traction battery.
The entry-level versions of the full-size crossover have two electric motors (one on the front axle, the second on the rear axle), while the top-tier versions include a system with three electric motors (two of them on the rear axle). In the first case, the maximum combined output is 897 hp and torque is 935 Nm; in the second case, it is 1400 hp and 1410 Nm. The traction battery capacity is either 55 or 70 kWh. The three-motor Zeekr 9X accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h.
As of today, pre-orders for the five-seat modification of the Zeekr 9X have already been announced in China, and live sales of the new version will begin at the end of July 2026. Prices will be announced later.
