On the domestic market in Japan, the new model costs no less than 6,897,000 yen, which is equivalent to approximately 3.32 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
Production of the Nissan minivan began in 1997, the second-generation model appeared in 2002, and the "third" Elgrand debuted in 2010. It is worth noting that the last major update to the van occurred in 2020, and even then it was obvious that the minivan was due for a generational change. Nissan presented a pre-production prototype of the fourth-generation Elgrand in the fall of 2025 at the Japan Mobility Show held in Tokyo, and now the new minivan has been fully revealed.
The new model features a frameless radiator grille with a checkered pattern, visually integrated with the headlights. The headlights have a relatively narrow shape and are connected to each other by a thin LED strip, beneath which sits an illuminated brand logo. A trapezoidal air intake with a mesh pattern is integrated into the lower part of the front bumper.
The fourth-generation Nissan Elgrand can have either a single-tone or two-tone body color. It also comes with original 18-inch alloy wheels, standard exterior mirrors with turn signal repeaters, and conventional door handles. The rear is adorned with a curved spoiler featuring a brake light, as well as a "mono-light" spanning the full width of the rear, with its light pattern echoing the grille design of the new minivan.
The overall length of the "fourth" Elgrand is 4995 mm (20-30 mm more than its predecessor), width is 1895 mm (45 mm more), height is 1970 / 1975 mm depending on the version (155-160 mm more), and the wheelbase is 3000 mm (25 mm less). The minimum ground clearance for all versions of the new model is 165 mm.
The interior of the new Nissan Elgrand is styled in the brand's current signature design. In front of the driver is a new two-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons and a slightly flattened rim, while the dashboard features a display that combines both a virtual instrument cluster and a touchscreen for the infotainment system, each with a diagonal of 14.3 inches. The model is equipped with second-row seats featuring ottomans, a 22-speaker audio system, two sunroofs, and some versions come with the ProPilot 2.0 driver assistance suite.
The fourth-generation Nissan Elgrand is powered by a third-generation e-Power hybrid system and an e-4orce all-wheel-drive system. It includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, the ZR15DDTe, producing 140 hp (maximum torque of 228 Nm), which works in tandem with two electric motors (front motor: 205 hp and 330 Nm, rear motor: 136 hp and 195 Nm), along with a generator, inverter, reduction gear, and transmission. The minivan offers six different driving modes.
The new model has several special versions – a sporty one with a different front end from Autech, another sporty but simpler version called Autech Line, a VIP version with features for rear passengers such as reading lamps and a separate 15.6-inch display, and a fourth variant, Step Type, which comes with additional running boards.
Sales on the domestic market started today, and the prices of the new model are known. Purchasing the base version of the standard minivan in Japan will cost 6,897,000 yen, which is equivalent to approximately 3.32 million rubles at the current exchange rate. A more expensive variant will cost 7,579,000 yen (about 3.64 million rubles). For the sporty Nissan Elgrand Autech modification, the price here starts at no less than 8,247,800 yen (about 3.97 million rubles), while the VIP version costs 8,698,800 yen (about 4.18 million rubles).
