To date, the Chinese brand's model has already received OTTs (Vehicle Type Approval), and prices on the Russian market will be announced later.
The sub-brand of the Chinese company Changan, called Deepal, officially entered the Russian market in 2026. Its debut model was the Deepal G318 crossover with a "squared-off" design, and assembly of this model for Russia has been established at the facilities of the Kaliningrad plant Avtotor. At the end of last spring, it became known that the local lineup would be expanded with the fully electric crossover Deepal S05, and now the local press service has announced another upcoming new model – the hybrid crossover Deepal S07.

As noted by the company, the Deepal S07 has already received OTTs (Vehicle Type Approval) and is currently preparing for the start of sales in Russia, with the market launch date to be announced later. This mid-size crossover is based on the modular EPA1 platform, with an overall length of 4750 mm, width of 1930 mm, height of 1625 mm, and a wheelbase of 2900 mm.

In its home market of China, the crossover named Deepal S7 (also known as Shenlan S7) was introduced in spring 2023. To date, the model under its export name – Deepal S07 – has been presented in Europe as well, though only with a fully electric powertrain. Russian customers, however, have been promised a crossover with a hybrid system, and some technical details have already been revealed.

As reported by the local press service of Changan, the Deepal S07 is a series hybrid, the system of which includes a traction battery with a capacity of 31.73 kWh. With fast charging, the battery can be replenished from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. When driving solely on electric power, this SUV has a range of 174 km, and a combined range of 992 km (the cycle used for calculation is not specified). The Deepal S07 intended for Russia accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.

It is worth noting that for the Chinese market model, the system includes a front-mounted 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine under the hood, with a maximum power of 95 hp. It has no mechanical connection to the wheels and operates as a generator for the traction battery. The crossover is driven by an electric motor mounted on the rear axle, delivering 238 hp.

Changan noted that the exterior of the Deepal S07 was developed at the company's European design center in Turin (Italy) under the direction of chief designer Bertrand Bach. The crossover features a sloping hood and roof, narrow headlights, a body kit around the perimeter made of black glossy plastic, including rounded wheel arch trims, two-tone alloy wheels, retractable door handles, and a spoiler on the upper part of the tailgate.

The model is also equipped with a panoramic roof measuring 1.9 square meters with an electric sunshade, a rotating 15.6-inch multimedia touchscreen (with gesture and voice control support), and a Sony audio system with 14 speakers, two of which are built into the driver's headrest and can create a "personal acoustic zone."

The Deepal S07 intended for the Russian market comes with a winter package, including heated seats (including the second-row backrests), heated steering wheel, as well as heated washer nozzles, exterior mirrors, and rear window. The brand's press service also noted that the body panels feature anti-corrosion galvanization. The warranty on the engine is valid for 5 years or 150,000 km, and on the battery for 8 years or 160,000 km. The price of the crossover will be announced later.
