Production of the four-door sedan will be established using full-cycle technology at the plant in Shushary, owned by the AGR holding company.
The "local" brand called Tenet appeared on the Russian market in February 2025. This project is the result of a partnership between the AGR holding company and the Chinese company Defetoo. To date, the model lineup includes four crossovers – T4, T4L, T7, and T8, with their production set up at the plant in Grabstevo near Kaluga (previously owned by the Volkswagen Group). Today, the company officially announced a new model in a different segment, namely the Tenet A8 business sedan (pictured in the title).
Like other models of the young Russian brand, the Tenet A8 is a "twin" of a model from the Chinese brand Chery: specifically, a sedan sold in its home market since spring 2025 under the name Arrizo 8 Pro, with its sporty version following in June of the same year. Note that in the Russian Chery lineup, only the pre-facelift version of the Arrizo 8 is currently available, which appeared in Russia back in 2023.

As reported by the press service of the local brand, production of the Tenet A8 will be established using full-cycle technology at the plant in Shushary (St. Petersburg), which is now owned by the AGR holding company, and was previously owned by GM, then Hyundai. The overall length of the upcoming new model is 4757 mm, width – 1832 mm, height – 1469 mm, and the wheelbase – 2770 mm. For comparison, the current Kia K5 business sedan has a length of 4905 mm and a wheelbase of 2850 mm.

The Tenet four-door features a sloping hood and roofline, an octagonal radiator grille with a mesh pattern, a chrome frame, and horizontal slats. The model also gets slanted LED headlights, a trapezoidal central air intake, and a pair of air ducts on the sides. The A8 comes with conventional door handles and exterior mirrors, chrome inserts on the side panels, and 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, behind which red brake calipers are visible. The rear is adorned with a "full-width light bar."
The Tenet A8 is equipped with a panoramic roof, ambient interior lighting, Sony audio system, climate control with physical buttons and separate vents for second-row passengers, along with USB ports and a center armrest with a storage compartment for small items. The front panel houses a pair of displays – a 10.25-inch virtual instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. The model features contoured seats for the driver and front passenger with contrast stitching, ventilation functions, and memory settings.

The business sedan will be offered on the Russian market with two powertrain options – engines with displacements of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. According to the company, the "larger" turbo engine delivers 197 hp and a maximum torque of 375 Nm. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The four-door sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds. The A8's winter package includes: heated seats for all passengers, heated steering wheel, heated windshield, and heated windshield washer nozzles.
Information on trim levels, prices, and the exact sales launch date will be announced by the company at a later time.
