Haval brand has opened orders for a new brutal SUV. The model is available in two length variants, both modifications currently offered with a mild hybrid system. The new model comes standard with all-wheel drive.
The new flagship Haval crossover was first shown in official images back in April, and that same month, an online naming contest concluded among netizens. The SUV, intended for the domestic market, was named Great Wall H10, although it belongs to the Haval brand (the brand is owned by Great Wall Motor, GWM). However, for export, the model will likely simply be sold as the Haval H10. So, over the past weekend, a full presentation was held in China, trim levels and preliminary prices were announced, and orders began to be taken. Incidentally, as the manufacturer noted, within just 12 hours, the Haval Great Wall H10 gathered 22,615 orders.

The crossover is built on the Guiyuan platform (also known as GWM One), which also underpins the premium SUV Wey V9X. In its home market, the Haval Great Wall H10 is offered in two length variants – 5138 mm or 5299 mm. The other dimensions are identical for both modifications: width – 2050 mm, height – 1970 mm, wheelbase – 3000 mm. The models come with 20-inch wheels. The official ground clearance is 220 mm.

The new Haval flagship features a deliberately brutal exterior. Key design highlights include square headlights united by a massive solid insert, imposing bumpers, and vertical taillights. The H10 also has a side-hinged tailgate with an external spare wheel. A two-tone body paint is available as an option.

The "short" Haval Great Wall H10 is strictly a five-seater, while the extended version is a six-seater. The first modification has solid inserts behind the rear doors, while the second has additional windows. The trunk volume of the five-seater H10 is 815 liters, and with the second-row seats folded, it reaches 1885 liters. The cargo area volume of the three-row crossover ranges from 316 to 1056 liters.

Inside the cabin, there is a 10.25-inch instrument screen integrated into the front panel and a 15.6-inch multimedia system tablet "attached" to the panel. On the center tunnel are exposed cupholders, a row of switches, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. Charging pads are also available in the doors.

The H10 is an all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid. The Hi4 powertrain includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (167 hp), two electric motors, and a battery with a capacity of 42.8 kWh. The total system output is 598 hp and 722 Nm. On electric power alone, the five-seater Haval Great Wall H10 can travel 232 km on the CLTC cycle, while the six-seater can travel 227 km. Regardless of the modification, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the flagship is also certified with a hybrid system based on a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (238 hp). It is possible that this version is being prepared for export.

In China, the five-seater Haval Great Wall H10 is currently offered in one trim level, while the six-seater is available in three. Standard equipment includes a power tailgate, the aforementioned displays, a box built into the center tunnel with cooling and heating functions, heated seats for the first and second rows, a built-in dashcam, a facial recognition system, and a suite of driver assistance features including a lidar above the windshield, three millimeter-wave radars, and twelve ultrasonic radars. All versions, except for the cheapest six-seater H10, also feature a ceiling tablet for rear passengers, a head-up display, front seat massagers, and a 21-speaker audio system (including speakers in the driver's seat headrest; this is an option for the base six-seater crossover). Higher-end trims also include massagers for the second-row seats. Finally, the top-spec Haval Great Wall H10 comes with a rear differential lock.

In China, the new flagship hybrid Haval crossover is preliminarily priced at 219,800 – 239,800 yuan, equivalent to approximately 2.5 million – 2.8 million rubles at the current exchange rate. It is likely that after the launch of actual sales, which will take place a bit later, the real prices will be lower. As for export, the Haval H10 will likely be shipped next year.
