Новый Li L6 уже в продаже: освежённый дизайн, более мощная электроника и старая цена

Li Auto continues to update its lineup of plug-in hybrid crossovers: the second-generation Li L6, the smallest model in this lineup, has gone on sale in China.

The first-generation Li L6 entered the Chinese market in April 2024 and instantly became a hit, poaching some customers from its larger siblings — the Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9. Earlier this year, the Li L8 and Li L9 transitioned to the new, second generation, and now the "second" Li L6 has also hit the market. The new Li L7 is expected later this year. The hasty model lineup update is intended to help Li Auto correct its sales curve: in the first half of 2026, the company sold 193,472 vehicles, which is 5.13% less than in January-June 2025. Sales in June dropped by 14.84% to 30,895 vehicles.

While the second-generation Li L8 and Li L9 can be called truly new, the "second" Li L6 is essentially the result of a deep modernization of the first-generation crossover: it retains the 400-volt electrical architecture and spring suspension with adaptive dampers (front — double wishbone, rear — multi-link). External changes are few, but they exist: the central air intake of the front bumper is now visually separated from the side sections with headlights, retractable handles have given way to safer ones with finger recesses, and the shape of the massive rear bumper and tailgate has been changed, with the license plate moving from the bumper to the tailgate.

The overall length of the Li L6 with the generation change increased from 4925 to 4935 mm, while other key dimensions remain the same: width — 1960 mm, height — 1735 mm, wheelbase — 2920 mm, standard wheels — 20 or 21 inches. The body has become stiffer, and noise insulation has been improved. Curb weight has increased by almost two hundred kilograms, reaching 2520 kg. The permissible towing weight is 1500 kg.

The operation of electronic driver assistance systems is now tied to Li Auto's own powerful Mach M100 processor, which uses a 5-nanometer process and delivers performance of up to 1280 TOPS. As an option, a full-fledged autopilot with a second Mach M100 processor and four lidars on the body is offered.

The plug-in hybrid system of the Li L6 has also not fundamentally changed: under the hood, a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine with 154 hp operates as a generator, while the wheels are driven by two electric motors (front and rear), with a maximum combined output of the previous 300 kW (408 hp) and 529 Nm. The capacity of the traction lithium iron phosphate battery has been increased from 36.8 to 51 kWh, and the range on a single charge without starting the internal combustion engine is now 300 km under the CLTC cycle, and in hybrid mode with a fully filled tank (50 L) — 1250 km. The new Li L6 accelerates to 100 km/h in the previous 5.4 seconds, and the top speed has been increased from 180 to 200 km/h.

The interior of the Li L6 has been updated following the example of its older brothers, the Li L8 and Li L9: trim materials have been improved, the instrument screen has disappeared from the steering wheel (its role is performed by a head-up display on the windshield), and the air vents have become thinner. A 29-inch 6K-resolution display attached to the dashboard is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 processor. For second-row passengers, a ceiling-mounted 21-inch entertainment screen is available as an option. The standard audio system with 1920 W power includes at least 19 speakers, with an optional upgrade to 21 speakers. An onboard refrigerator is included in the standard equipment.

In China, the new Li L6 is offered in a single Ultra trim and costs the same as the previous base Li L6 Pro — from 249,800 yuan (approximately 2.89 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
